Calvin Sofa with Chaise Longue
The Calvin Sofa with Chaise Longue joins a row of seats quilted in squares to a deep chaise on the right-hand side, where you can stretch out your legs without leaving the sofa. The back cushions are loose and the arms, square and of moderate height, have a dark band tracing their outline.
The fabric is light grey with a fine weave, and the dark edging of the arms creates a sharp, almost graphic contrast with the rest of the upholstery. Underneath, the recessed dark lacquered iron base nearly vanishes into the shadow and leaves the sofa looking suspended.
It is a sofa for a living room that is really lived in: there is room for a conversation and a chaise for reading or watching a film. The Kate Side Table and the Chloé Coffee Table, with mirror tops and black lacquered legs, repeat the tones of the edging. It appears in Calvin Living Room 4, with a wide window onto the garden.
The fabric, the colour of the edging and the iron of the base are chosen with you, and the length is adjusted to the wall of your living room before production begins.
