Daris Display Cabinet
The Daris Display Cabinet is tall and narrow, lacquered in cream, with rounded vertical edges. On each side of the centre there are two smooth doors and, in the middle, a narrow glass niche.
The niche is lit from inside and has walnut shelves, which show glasses, ceramics or small objects as in a shop window, while the rest of the cabinet keeps what you would rather not see behind the smooth lacquer. The top is thin, in walnut, and the cabinet stands on a golden base of double bars that lifts it off the floor.
In the dining room it stands next to the Daris Dining Table and the Daris Dining Chairs, and goes with the Daris Mirror on the wall. In the Daris Dining Room 2 it appears in the greige lacquer version, with a bronze base, by the window. At night, the light in the niche gives the room a soft, welcoming glow.
