The Dune DU.14 Room Divider Shelving is fixed between floor and ceiling on four slim dark poles, which mark out three bays. In each bay, shelves rise at several levels and, lower down, a closed box with rounded corners hangs between the poles without touching the floor. As it is open on both sides, it looks just as good from the front as from the back and lets the eye pass through.
The shelves are in dark wood and the boxes in terracotta, a warm clay tone, each with a marbled top, dark and streaked with light veins, framed by a small raised edge. The almost black poles draw vertical lines that bring lightness to a large piece.
It works as a wall that does not shut anything off: in the middle of a spacious room, it leaves the sofa on one side and the dining table on the other, and keeps the light from the windows flowing. The shelves hold books, vases and sculptures, and the tops of the boxes make a ledge for a lamp or a pile of magazines.
The width, the height up to your own ceiling and the colours of the shelves and boxes are agreed with us. Every divider is made to measure, shaped by the space it has to separate, with other finishes to choose from.
