The Dune DU.05 Display Cabinet is a tall two-door piece in which each pane of glass sits in a wide frame with rounded inner corners, like a softly drawn window. Between the doors, a fluted strip runs from top to bottom and marks the centre of the front. The sides are rounded, with no sharp edges, and the cabinet stands on slim angled legs that lift it off the floor.
The frames and the body are in a calm, light sand colour, and the fluted strip, in a light oak tone, warms up the front. Inside, the shelves are glass and the back is wood, which sets off whatever is on display; the dark legs add a quiet contrast near the floor.
Stemmed glasses, the tableware kept for special occasions or a collection of decorative pieces stay in view, arranged on several levels. In the Dune DU.07 Living Room, the cabinet stands near the window, alongside the Dune DU.07 TV Unit and the Dune DU.07 Coffee Table, which repeat the oak-tone fluted strip; in a dining room, it looks just as good beside the table.
