The Vertex Gold VG.31 Sideboard is built on a simple contrast: a white body with three plain doors and no visible handles, cut through by an oak-tone column. That column of four drawers sits between the two doors on the left and the one on the right, and it does not stop at the front: it turns the edge and carries on over the top to the wall, like a band wrapped around the piece.
The white is smooth and bright, and the light, soft-grained oak tone warms the whole without weighing it down. The sideboard rests on dark, recessed panel feet that all but disappear under the body, leaving it hovering above the floor.
The drawers hold cutlery and table linen, the doors hide the crockery, and on top there is room for pictures leaning against the wall, a lamp or a vase of dried flowers. It is the same sideboard as in the Vertex Gold VG.15 Dining Room, where it forms a set with the Vertex Gold VG.15 Dining Table, with its light wood-tone top, bevelled edge and V-shaped grey metal legs.
The colours of the body and the drawer column, like the size, are chosen with you: this sideboard is made to measure for your space.
