Brooks Coffee Table
The Brooks Coffee Table is a low, upholstered hexagon: each side carries a deep triangular pleat, as in a paper fold, and the whole looks sculpted from a single piece. With its geometric form, it is a piece that can be seen from every side and has neither front nor back.
The fabric is turquoise and the walnut-veneer top lifts on a hinge, with a small orange leather tab, revealing a lined interior in the same blue, where small things can be put away.
In the middle of a room, it talks to the teal velvet of the Kurt Sofa and to the Larry Armchair, also turquoise, in a play of blues. Its low base keeps the view open to the sofa and gives support without imposing itself.
