The Galia GAL.13 Wall-Mounted Console is built around the meeting of two tones. Behind it, a tall panel rising from the floor is made of two strips side by side: one fluted, in cream, and one plain, in a natural wood tone. The console runs across it horizontally, fixed to the wall and free of legs, with rounded ends and a fluted section on the front.
The console is cream, a soft, bright shade that matches the fluted strip, and the section on its front repeats the grooves of the panel on a small scale. The plain strip, with the wood grain on show, warms the whole arrangement and balances the lightness of the cream. Together, the two finishes work well against the rough-textured grey wall of this hallway.
Above the console, overlapping the plain strip, hangs a round mirror with a slim wooden frame. The top has room for books, a vase of branches or a small lamp, and the floor beneath stays clear. In an entrance that opens onto the living room, like this one, the console defines the hallway without closing off the space.
If your wall is narrower or your ceiling higher, we redesign the panel and the console to fit your entrance, and the two tones can be swapped for other finishes. At our shop in Pombal, we help you get the combination right.
