With the Galia GAL.12 Wall-Mounted Console, two lines cross on the entrance wall: the vertical of a tall, narrow fluted panel rising from the floor, and the horizontal of the console, which runs across it and extends mostly to one side. The console has no legs: it is fixed to the wall, with rounded ends and, on the front, a short fluted section that echoes the panel.
Panel and console share the same natural wood tone, light and finely grained, and the narrow, regular grooves come alive in the light. In this hallway, against a wall of large dark grey panels, the pale wood stands out and warms the entrance. Rounded corners and fluting are the hallmarks of the Galia collection.
The top holds keys, post or a reed diffuser, close at hand as you come and go. Above it, beside the panel, a round backlit mirror completes the wall. Because it does not touch the floor, the console makes cleaning easier and keeps the entrance uncluttered, which matters in a hallway that opens onto the living room, as this one does.
The length of the console and the height of the panel are adjusted to your wall, and the natural wood tone can give way to another finish: everything is made to measure, agreed with us.
