Soho Hinged-Door Wardrobe

The Soho Hinged-Door Wardrobe has four smooth doors with no protruding handles. Two recessed vertical strips, running from top to bottom, are used to open it: one between the first and second doors, the other between the third and fourth, so each pair of doors has its own. Beside the strips, the door corners are rounded, as on the drawers of the other Soho pieces, and the side of the wardrobe is plain.
Inside, there is a shelf at the top and, just below it, the hanging rail, lit by a light that shows off the clothes; further down, internal drawers for things kept folded. Outside, it comes in ivory lacquer with gold strips, or in grey-beige lacquer with oak strips.
The strips repeat the design of the Soho chest of drawers, tall chest and bedside tables, so the wardrobe sits alongside them seamlessly. The smooth, pale doors make a calm front in the bedroom, while the gold or oak adds the detail that sets it apart.
