The Galia GAL.15 Wall-Mounted Console keeps things simple: with no panel behind it and no legs, it is a long, low box fixed to the wall that seems to float. The corners are rounded, at the ends and on the top, and the smooth front is broken in the middle by a fluted strip.
It is entirely in a natural wood tone, light and straight-grained, which shows clearly on the top, where a tray, two vases and a few books fit with ease. In this hallway, the pale wood stands out against an almost black wall and, above the console, a round backlit mirror casts a soft halo.
By the stairs, as here, or at the end of a corridor, it gathers keys, a reed diffuser and a candle. Being wall-mounted, it leaves the floor free for a rug and for cleaning, and it fits narrow hallways. And with no sharp edges, it is easy to live with in a busy passageway.
For a larger or smaller wall, we make the console in the right length; the finish, this wood tone or another, is chosen with us, and it is well worth seeing it in person at our shop in Pombal.
