Dune DU.19 Cabinet

The Dune DU.19 Cabinet is tall and upright, with two plain doors running the full height of the piece, separated by a narrow fluted strip. Its sides are rounded, and the slender angled legs show the floor beneath, which takes weight off such a tall piece.
Colour is what sets it apart: the body and doors in a terracotta shade, a warm, earthy clay tone, and the dark fluted strip, which draws a deep line down the centre. The legs, also dark, go with the strip.
It looks good in a dining room or a living room, as a touch of colour against a concrete, stone or neutral painted wall, next to pale woods. In a room of greys and whites, it is the piece that warms everything up. Behind its doors, it keeps tableware, linen, games or books out of sight, and its high top holds a vase or a sculpture.
