Hélio Sofa with Chaise Longue
The Hélio Sofa with Chaise Longue joins deep seats to a chaise longue at the right end, where the seat lengthens and the body can stretch out. The back has wide, loose cushions, the arms are thick and square with vertical grooves on the outside, and the whole frame rests on slim black metal legs, angled outwards.
The tweed is a flecked grey with a visible weave, and it also comes in a lighter version, in a greyish beige. Up close, the thin, angular black leg under the arm and under the chaise is what gives the piece its lightness and lifts it off the floor.
In a room with large windows and a view of the garden, the chaise marks the more relaxed side and the rest of the sofa takes up the wall. The Hélio Sofa, without a chaise, shares the same design and can stand on the other side of the room, as in the Hélio Living Room, where the two complement each other.
