Rio Sofa
The Rio Sofa is a three-seater with a slim frame and straight lines, a long seat and two wide, loose back cushions. At each end of the back, an angled cushion gives it a relaxed air. The arms are thick and square, and the whole piece stands on slim, round legs in black metal.
The fabric, in moss green, has the soft, almost plush weave of a chenille, which shows most on the seat cushion. The deep green and the thin black legs give the sofa an elegant look and leave the floor visible underneath, which makes it lighter. Up close you can see the leg coming out from the base of the arm in one clean stroke.
In a room of dark wood, with shelves and books, the moss green gains depth; in a bright room, it becomes the main colour. It goes with natural-fibre rugs and with wooden or metal coffee tables. If you prefer a chaise, there is the Rio Sofa with Chaise Longue, with the same design in a cream fabric.
